The warranty is Cork’s. The posture that makes it worth underwriting is ours.
Eligible organizations running under Argos OS can carry a cyber warranty from Cork Protection, Inc. — a warranty provider built specifically for MSPs, with underwriting via DataStream. We are naming them because a page about financial backstops is the worst possible place to be coy about who is actually standing behind the money.
Whose is what.
Three parties appear on this page and they do different things. Confusing them is how people end up believing they are covered for something nobody ever agreed to cover.
A warranty is not insurance. It is a commitment from a company, on its own published terms, and the correct word for it is the one Cork uses. If you want an insurance policy, buy an insurance policy — from someone licensed to sell you one, which is not us.
What Cork says, said as Cork’s.
The numbers below are Cork’s, published by Cork, about Cork’s program. We are repeating them with attribution rather than absorbing them into our own marketing, because the moment a reseller restates a partner’s figure as its own promise, the figure stops meaning anything and starts being a liability.
Which of those applies to you — if any — is not a thing this page can tell you, and we are not going to guess in public. Eligibility, covered events and terms are set by Cork and confirmed during onboarding.• That sentence is deliberately the least exciting sentence on the page. It is also the only honest one available, because Cork does not publish covered events, exclusions, eligibility criteria or claim requirements publicly — we checked, specifically so we would know what we were not allowed to say.
Why security posture and warranties are connected at all.
Nobody underwrites a risk they cannot see. That is the entire relationship, and it is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up as a flywheel diagram: a warranty provider is willing to stand behind an environment in proportion to how well it can observe and trust that environment’s controls. An organization that can demonstrate MFA coverage, endpoint protection in blocking mode, patch currency, backup integrity and a real audit trail is a fundamentally different underwriting proposition than one that filled in a questionnaire last March.
What Argos OS contributes is the observable part. Your controls are measured continuously and mapped against 18• compliance frameworks, evidence is collected from the live systems rather than from a spreadsheet, and the audit spine that records all of it is append-only and enforced by the database•, not by our good intentions. That is what makes a posture claim checkable instead of asserted.
- Continuous, not annual. Posture is assessed on an ongoing basis against live systems, so what is presented reflects the environment as it is, not as it was at signing.
- Evidence, not attestation. Controls are backed by data pulled from the systems themselves — the same evidence your auditor gets, because there is only one copy of it.
- Improvement you can show. Score history gives you a defensible record of progress for boards, renewals and your own clients.
- One relationship to manage. The team hardening your environment is the team that walks the warranty conversation with you. No second portal, no broker to chase.
What we will not do is complete that sentence for you. A stronger posture is what makes coverage worth underwriting — it is not a lever you pull to produce a specific coverage outcome, and any provider implying otherwise is describing a mechanism they do not control either. Cork decides. We make the case checkable.
no coverage outcome is promised hereWhat we can and cannot say about this yet.
We have zero• Argos OS customers today; the platform soft-launches in September 2026. So we have no claims record to show you, no payout stories, and no average anything. What we have is a named partner you can research without us, a posture engine we run against our own 26• clients daily, and a rule that every number on this site carries the scope it was measured in.

A posture review tells you what your controls really look like — useful whether or not a warranty ever enters the picture. If it does, Cork sets the terms and we will walk you through them in writing.
