Argos OS and Syncro.

This is not an attack page and it is not going to become one further down. Syncro does simple, affordable, all-in-one PSA and RMM genuinely well, and we know that from the inside — we were a Syncro customer. Our claim against it is narrow, specific, and stated as such: we go deeper on the security and compliance half, on the same data model, without you signing a second vendor relationship.

Disclosure — first, and above the comparison

Everything wrong with us, before anything about them.

The disclosure sits above the table on every comparison page we publish, including the friendly ones. Structure is the argument.

We have zero Argos OS customers. Syncro has a large, established base of MSPs who have run payroll off it. We have a soft-launch date of September 2026 and one MSP on the platform: ours. customers
Every number we publish came from our own MSP. 26 client companies, 1,301 tickets, 300 monitors, operating since 2013. Our own environment, and every figure on this site carries a scope tag saying so. scope
Syncro publishes its pricing. We do not, yet. Ours is set at launch by our CEO and goes on the site the day we open. On that specific dimension they are ahead of us today, and arranging this page so you did not notice would be dishonest. pricing
More surface means more to get wrong. A catalog of 27 products has four in beta and four in build, and containment is dry-run verified, not production-proven. Simplicity is a real virtue and we do not have it. The whole list is at /unfinished. unfinished
Credit where it is owed

What Syncro is genuinely good at.

We ran on Syncro. That is not a rhetorical device deployed to sound magnanimous — it is why we can be specific rather than vague, and it is why our own ticket history has a gap in it, which we will come back to.

PSA and RMM in one product, not two. Ticketing, billing and endpoint management arrive together, from one vendor, with one login and one invoice. For a small MSP that is not a compromise — it is the correct architecture at that size. all-in-one
You can be productive in it quickly. The onboarding is short, the interface is legible, and a two-technician shop can be running real tickets the same week. Time-to-value is a genuine feature and it is one most of this industry is bad at. simplicity
Published, straightforward pricing. A per-user model, on the website, without a discovery call standing between you and the number. We think that is the right way to sell software and we have said so loudly enough that it would be absurd not to credit them for doing it already. transparency
It is built by people who understand this trade. The product reflects the actual working rhythm of a small managed-services business rather than an enterprise ITSM fantasy imposed on one. That is harder than it looks and it is why they have the base they have. craft
The narrow claim

Where we go deeper — and it is one direction, not all of them.

Our claim is not that we are a better PSA for a small shop. Our claim is that the security and compliance half of your business belongs on the same data model as the ticket, and that this is the half nobody in the affordable all-in-one segment has built.

The all-in-one PSA + RMM

Run the managed-services business: tickets, assets, billing, endpoints. Do it simply, do it affordably, and integrate to whatever security tooling you have chosen separately.

  • Security is a set of integrations to other vendors’ products, each with its own console and its own notion of a client.
  • Compliance evidence is assembled by hand when an auditor or an insurer asks for it.
  • The audit trail is per-product application logging, which is normal and entirely adequate until somebody contests a record.
  • For an MSP without a security practice, none of the above is a problem. It is the correct amount of tool for the job.
The operating system

Run the business and the security practice on one Kernel: identity, the client graph, the event spine, the audit spine. The security products are not integrated to the PSA — they are made of the same substrate.

  • Threat intel, exposure monitoring, canaries and continuous pentest resolve clients through the same graph as the ticket.
  • 18 compliance frameworks assembling live evidence from the platform that already did the work.
  • One append-only hash-chained log — 165,000+ records — with the head anchored in Bitcoin block 959874.
  • A security practice you can sell to your own clients, without a second vendor relationship, a second margin stack or a second console.
Line by line

The comparison, with a scope column.

Two of these rows go to them. We are not going to hide those in a footnote to make the grid look tidy.

Dimension Syncro Argos OS Scope
Time to productive use Short. A small team can be running real tickets in days. Longer, and we stand it up for you rather than handing you a setup guide. More platform means more decisions. theirs, honestly
Published pricing On the website, per user, no call required. Not yet. Per technician and published openly the day we open. theirs, honestly
PSA + RMM core Strong, simple, purpose-built for the small MSP. Deeper on contracts, CPQ, projects, change management and finance — and correspondingly heavier. our own environment
Security operations Integrations to third-party security products you select and license separately. Included on the same data model: fused telemetry, AI-adjudicated triage, canaries, exposure and continuous pentest. our own environment
Compliance Not the product’s job, and it does not pretend to be. 18 frameworks with evidence pulled live from the same platform that ran the work. our own environment
Audit spine Conventional application logging — normal, and fine until a record is contested. Hash-chained and append-only, enforced by three database triggers and an application role with INSERT and SELECT only. our own environment
Independent verification Not a claim the product makes. Chain head stamped into a public blockchain we do not control. independently verifiable
White-labeling Branding options within the product. The whole platform, in your brand, hosted and operated by us. Argos Sovereign is a dedicated, isolated instance in our datacenter. our model

our own environment — not customer scale
The part where our own history is the evidence

We have been the customer holding the empty box.

We report 1,301 tickets resolved end to end. Our real number is higher — we ran on SyncroMSP and Freshdesk before this, and that history didn’t come with us when we left. We can’t prove it, so we don’t count it. That’s why Argos exports everything, any day, at no cost. We’ve been the customer holding the empty box.

To be precise about the blame, because precision is the whole point of this website: leaving any platform is messy, ticket history is notoriously difficult to move between different data models, and we are not claiming a vendor withheld anything from us. We are saying the outcome was ours to live with either way — and that the experience is why “you own it” is a product pillar in Argos rather than a paragraph in a terms document.

our own environment
The concession

You should probably buy Syncro.

Not a hedge, and not a setup for a “but.” For a large share of the MSPs reading this page, that is the correct recommendation and we would give it to you on a call.

Buy Syncro, not Argos, if
  • You want straightforward PSA and RMM at a fair price, and you do not run a security practice. Buying an operating system with a security and compliance plane you are not going to sell is paying for a capability you will never bill for. That is not thrift, it is just the right-sized tool.
  • You are a small team and simplicity is the feature. Fewer surfaces, fewer decisions, fewer things to keep configured. Every product we ship adds a thing that can be misconfigured, and at two or three technicians that trade is a bad one.
  • You need a published price today. Ours is not on the website yet. Theirs is. If you are budgeting this quarter, that difference is decisive and it is decisive against us.
  • You want a product other people have already proven. A real base of MSPs, years of production, a community that has hit the edge cases before you do. We have none of that, and that risk is priced into any decision to choose us.

Come back to us when the security half becomes the business. When a client’s cyber insurer starts asking for evidence, when an audit turns into archaeology across four consoles, when you want to sell managed security as a real line rather than a resold logo — that is the moment the shared data model stops being an architectural preference and starts being the difference between a margin and a fire drill. Until then, they are the better buy and we are not going to pretend the opposite.

Everything above is checkable in the same two places as the rest of this site: what isn’t finished yet, and the claim ledger, where every number carries its scope and its evidence and the build refuses to compile a page citing a claim the ledger does not hold.
